Webinar invitation - What's New in MISRA C?

Ever since the publication of the original MISRA Guidelines in 1994, followed by first edition of MISRA C in 1998 and MISRA C++ in 2003, the guidance provided by MISRA has evolved to become the de facto leading guidance for the safety-critical and wider embedded systems industries, well supported by MISRA’s auto-code and safety-case activities. In April 2023, MISRA C’s 25th anniversary was marked by the release of MISRA C:2023, followed in November by MISRA C++:2023.

In this webinar, Andrew Banks (Technical Specialist at LDRA), the Chairman of the MISRA C Working Group, will provide an over-view of the recent developments within each of the MISRA Working Groups, with an emphasis on MISRA C but also covering the other activities. It will include a Q&A session, so please come with your questions ready!

What is MISRA?

MISRA (Motor Industry Software Reliability Association) is a globally recognized consortium that develops guidelines for writing safe, secure, and reliable code in critical systems — especially in automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors. Its standards, including MISRA C and MISRA C++, are widely adopted for embedded software development in safety-critical environments.

MISRA C:2025 – LDRA Simplifies Compliance for Safety- and Security-Critical Systems

LDRA, a leader in software quality and compliance with safety and security standards, announces immediate support for MISRA C:2025, the latest version of the MISRA C coding standard. This update provides developers with direct access to the new guidelines, policy changes, and improvements aimed at enhancing the quality and security of critical embedded systems.

With LDRA’s advanced tool suite, static code analysis and automated reporting enable the rapid and effective adoption of the new MISRA C:2025 rules. This immediate support shortens time to market while ensuring a high level of compliance with functional safety and cybersecurity standards.

Key benefits of the LDRA tool suite with MISRA C:2025:

  • Advanced static analysis: Automatically identifies violations of the new compliance rules.
  • Detailed and graphical reports: Simplifies visualization of deviations and required fixes.
  • Automated compliance process: Seamless integration with CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Risk reduction: Early detection of safety- and security-related vulnerabilities.
